Why Do We So Readily Hate Each Other ?
Recent events in the USA, Afghanistan and Iraq highlight the horror of racism. Dr Farhad Dalal who has written extensively about the unconscious sources of racial behaviour will explore the need of human groups to hold other groups in contempt, to humiliate them and to keep them powerless.
Following Dr Dalal's lecture we shall share a buffet supper with wine before meeting as a median group convened by Dr Pat de Mare who has pioneered the use of median groups in the exploration of social and political issues. Sixteen colleagues from Norway will be joining us for the evening .
