This group will provide a safe setting where honest personal and interpersonal exploration is encouraged. Working together, group members will find opportunities to reflect on their personal difficulties and find support. Interaction with other group members will enable participants to develop self awareness and insight and to foster personal development and change. Links will be made between early life experiences and issues that arise in the group members adult relationships and current life situations.
The group may be especially helpful for women
wanting the focus of a single sex group rather than, or prior to, joining a mixed group.
seeking more fulfilment and creativity in their lives.
dealing with life crises and transitions.
experiencing difficulty in personal, family or work relationships.
in the therapeutic or caring professions who wish for more personal therapy.
The group, conducted by Cynthia Rogers, will meet weekly on a Monday afternoon at 4pm for 90 minutes. The long term nature of the group, at least one year, offers real opportunities for considered exploration and change. Informal discussion prior to referral is welcomed. Each person will have a full assessment to ascertain whether group membership is likely to be helpful and appropriate, with a Consultant Psychotherapist.
